BOXED started in a yacht factory.

I'm Mitch, founder of BOXED Fitouts. Before this I spent years designing the interiors of luxury yachts at Maritimo, fitting precision joinery into spaces where millimetres matter and nothing is allowed to rattle, flex or fail.

On weekends I was doing the opposite. Surfing, camping, chasing the next trip out of a van that was nowhere near as well built as the boats I worked on. The fitout options out there were either rough DIY plywood boxes or overpriced custom jobs with a three month wait. Nothing in between. Nothing that actually felt designed.

So I built my own. Then I built one for a mate. Then I couldn't keep up with the orders.

Every BOXED kit is engineered the same way I built yacht interiors. Properly. We use premium black Hexa plywood, CNC machined to the millimetre on the Gold Coast, so every panel slots together clean and stands up to real use. No flimsy chipboard. No guesswork. No tradie required.

I'm not designing for a catalogue. I'm designing for me, and for people like me. Tradies, surfers, campers, the ones living out of their vehicle every chance they get. If it wouldn't survive my own trips, it doesn't get sold.
